Team Members

Teams let you collaborate with others. As a team owner, you can invite members, assign roles, and manage access from a single screen.

Inviting a Member

Only team owners can send invitations.

  1. Go to Team Settings > Members.
  2. In the Invite Member section, enter the person's email address.
  3. Select a role from the dropdown: User or Admin.
  4. Click Send Invite.

An invitation email is sent to the address provided. If the email already belongs to an existing team member, or if a pending invitation already exists for that address, you will see an error message.

Roles

Role Capabilities
Owner Full access. Can manage team settings, members, billing, and all resources. Automatically assigned to the team creator. Cannot be changed.
Admin Full access to all team resources (servers, apps, databases, backups, files). Can manage most settings.
User Limited access. Can view and interact with team resources but cannot modify team settings or manage members.

Accepting an Invitation

  1. The invited person receives an email with a unique invitation link.
  2. Clicking the link takes them to https://serverplane.xyz. If they don't have an account yet, they will need to register first.
  3. Once accepted, they appear in the team's member list with their assigned role.

Pending Invitations

All outstanding invitations are shown in the Pending Invitations section at the bottom of the Members page. Each entry displays:

  • Email — the invited address
  • Role — the role that will be assigned on acceptance
  • Expires — how much time remains (invitations expire after 7 days)

Cancelling an Invitation

  1. Go to Team Settings > Members.
  2. In the Pending Invitations table, click Cancel next to the invitation you want to revoke.

The invitation link becomes invalid immediately.

Updating a Member's Role

  1. Go to Team Settings > Members.
  2. In the Current Members table, find the member whose role you want to change.
  3. Use the role dropdown next to their name to switch between Admin and User.

The change takes effect immediately. You cannot change the owner's role.

Removing a Member

  1. Go to Team Settings > Members.
  2. Click Remove next to the member you want to remove.
  3. Confirm the action in the prompt.

The removed member loses access to all team resources. If their active team was this team, they are automatically switched to another team they belong to. The team owner cannot be removed.
