Profile and Security

The Profile Settings page lets you update your personal information, change your password, and configure two-factor authentication.

Updating Your Name

  1. Navigate to Settings > Profile.
  2. In the Profile Information section, update the Name field.
  3. Click Save Changes.

Your email address is displayed but cannot be changed from this page.

Changing Your Password

  1. Navigate to Settings > Profile.
  2. In the Change Password section, fill in:
    • Current Password — your existing password (required for verification)
    • New Password — must be at least 8 characters
    • Confirm New Password — must match the new password
  3. Click Update Password.

If the current password is incorrect, an error is displayed and the password is not changed.

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Two-factor authentication adds a second layer of security by requiring a time-based one-time password (TOTP) from an authenticator app each time you log in.

Enabling 2FA

  1. Navigate to Settings > Profile.
  2. In the Two-Factor Authentication section, click Enable Two-Factor Authentication.
  3. A QR code is displayed. Scan it with your authenticator app (e.g., Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password).
  4. The authenticator app will start generating 6-digit codes. You will be prompted to enter one on your next login.

Viewing the QR Code

If you need to re-scan the QR code (e.g., setting up a new device):

  1. Go to the Two-Factor Authentication section.
  2. Click Show QR Code.

Recovery Codes

Recovery codes let you regain access to your account if you lose your authenticator device.

  1. Click Show Recovery Codes to view your current codes.
  2. Store them in a secure location (e.g., a password manager). Each code can only be used once.
  3. To generate a fresh set, click Regenerate Recovery Codes. This invalidates all previous codes.

Disabling 2FA

  1. In the Two-Factor Authentication section, click Disable 2FA.
  2. Confirm the action in the prompt.

Once disabled, you will no longer be asked for a TOTP code at login. The QR code and recovery codes are cleared.
